As a result, instead of earning money from your clip, Newsflare would like to give you the option of donating your earnings to charity. This charity, [the United Nations High Commissioner For Refugees](https://www.unhcr.org/uk/), aims to make sure refugees can safely escape their war-torn country. Newsflare will match your donation. ![UNHCR](https://blog.newsflare.com/hs-fs/hubfs/UNHCR.png?width=759&name=UNHCR.png) "Overnight, lives have been shattered and families torn apart,"Karolina Lindholm Billing, UNHCR’s Representative to Ukraine, said on March 25. [Early on in the conflict, residents of Kyiv sought refuge from Russian artillery strikes in underground stations courtesy of Saurabh Mishra](https://www.newsflare.com/video/480592/people-take-refuge-during-russian-invasion-in-metro-station-as-bombshelters-in-kyiv-ukraine) "In one month, over 10 million people have been forced to run for their lives, leaving their homes and belongings. Over 6.5 million are displaced inside Ukraine and 3.7 million people have been forced to flee the country. These numbers are rising daily. Some 13 million people are estimated to be stranded in affected areas or unable to leave due to heightened security risks, destruction of bridges and roads, as well as lack of resources or information on where to find safety and accommodation." "Today, millions in Ukraine live in constant fear," she said. "Indiscriminate shelling and heavy bombardments are forcing people to shelter in bunkers for hours day and night." Now you can upload with a purpose. We are grateful for the role your clip will play in helping to provide a better life for refugees in Ukraine.  In order to be set up with this charity option, please email [videodesk@newsflare.com](mailto:videodesk@newsflare.com) and we will make it happen right away. Thank you. A self-service option for future charity campaigns will also be coming soon.  [![Upload to our Ukraine video brief](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/4844240/4435682f-ee47-405c-a3a9-600f39ad8f93.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/4844240/4435682f-ee47-405c-a3a9-600f39ad8f93) Tags: [Blog](https://blog.newsflare.com/community/tag/blog) [Back to Blog](https://blog.newsflare.com/community) - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) ## Related Articles ## [From the front line: Newsflare member’s diary of two weeks at war](https://blog.newsflare.com/community/from-the-front-line-newsflare-members-diary-of-two-weeks-at-war) A Newsflare member since 2018, Oliya is an independent journalist based in New York.
